Someone else then got angry at him for doing this, saying he's ruining Amazon.com's ratings system. First guy + allies said it's not against the rules. Second guy + allies said--
Stop. Stop right there. Go back a bit. What did the first guy and his like-mindeds say? "It's not against the rules." You know something? They're right.
If Amazon.com's management really gave a shit about its rating system, the solution would be laughably easy to implement: do not allow members to submit product reviews prior to the street release date of that particular product.
It's simple: if you don't own it yet, don't review it; and if you somehow do own it already, go ahead and write your review, save it to your computer, and submit it once Amazon lets you.
My opinion of Person #2 is that he is being a whiny bossy bitch, but then again, he's correct. My opinion of Person #1 is that he didn't mean any harm, but then again, he made a poor choice to submit a review based on a promise and not on a tangible product.
