Technically I answered quite honestly: he asked how I discovered UPN, and I told him. I discovered it [in 1999] by doing a Google search [for Pokémon and finding upnetwork.com and later on upnetwork.com's forum].

Had he asked, "Well what brought you here?" things might have been different. Actually ........ no, probably not. I imagine it'd have gone something like this:

Me: Wanted to talk about Pokémon with people who cared and weren't stupid, young, or both.
