: loved one has a bad day, barks at you via telephone while you're trying to do them a pre-arranged favor, and now you feel really negative too --(Ryan's mind)--> "I wonder how many meds telemarketers must take?"

wonders what psychotherapists' takes are on Lois Lowry's The Giver. The titular character : a vessel for memories :: a therapist : a vessel for sob stories, rants, and other displays of hatred and misery. Makes ya wonder ... Makes me wonder what percentage of all psychotherapists have got blue eyes. lol
To fill you in: my dad made some music CDs of his work and he wanted me to help him to share them with a private global audience free of charge. My first thought was of Mediafire -- have the people download the .mp3s and voila, there you go -- but explaining the process to my dad wore him out. I learned during said wearing-out that it wasn't my fault and that some shadowy character from our extended family was stirring up shit (or something), but that didn't change the fact that he was very short-tempered and whatnot, and then that made ME feel really angry and moody and ranty and whatnot. This blog update's a perfect example. lol
But back to the point in the title: don't you hate it when you have a Facebook status update you want to make but you just can't? (Like mine above.) Really drives me nuts. I probably lose a good 5, 10 minutes of my day sitting behind the computer trying to come up with a way to say what I want to say in 20 words or less with minimal negative emotion and minimal pity-seeking wording, and yet ... it never happens. So I just don't update that time, and wait until something simpler rolls along instead.
Edit: here's a new, unintended third one. Dammit. Logging off for the night. XD
wonders, what is meant by "energy is lost as heat" anyway? If heat represents high-energy particles and cold represents low-energy particles (or no matter at all, period, just pure space), why can't we "catch" the high-energy particles as they're exiting the reaction chamber at high velocity?

Well as far as energy as heat, there's always

Thermoelectricity has been a goal for a long time, but harnessing thermal energy is not the easiest of things to do - it's somewhat easier to redirect the wasted heat to places you would otherwise heat (via heat pumps and reservoirs, etc.).
