今日の5の2

Kyou no Go no Ni ("Today's Class 5-2") is the cute story about a Japanese fifth grader name Ryouta and his classmates. Ryouta is a thick-headed, stupid, but kind-hearted boy who seems to be unaware of the feelings his childhood friend Chika has for him. Surrounding them are the other mini-dramas of 5th grade life, that cusp between childhood and puberty. I really enjoyed it, and at only 2 hours in length (four 25-minute episodes), you really can't pass it up. Try out the first episode at least and, if it's not for you, just move along.

If you're interested in this work, then you should look into Sakuraba Koharu's masterpiece, Minami-ke (yes, the one I won't shut up about) since it's by the same author and is loads better than the still-nice Kyou No 5 No 2.
